2022: Moving Forward…

By Barry Rudesill
All right! Last time we spent our time reviewing what happened in 2021, our “year in review”! This time, we get to focus on what’s coming in 2022! (And we are SO excited!)

The Trek
Let’s start with Trek! First of all, we have begun the work to film the “Scenic Overlooks” for The Trek program. As time goes on, we will be adding new content to expand our existing topics, update you on new research, and share a story or two along the way! Please stay tuned to our social media and The Trek website for updates!

Next, both Maria and I will be available in 2022 for Zoom-based classes! We’ve had people ask if they can meet with us directly and have us lead either personal coaching on specific topics or a full-length program, and this year we are finally ready to begin! If you’re interested, message us directly and we can talk about options.

This year, we’re also hoping to complete an overhaul of our website! A lot of “behind-the-scenes” work has already been accomplished, but we’re looking to:

1) Create opportunities for past subscribers.
2) Create a Zoom-integration page for streaming classes.
3) Update content and descriptions.
4) Add a forum for individuals and groups.

In addition to all of this, we’re hoping to do some vlogs and/or podcasts, create shorter “mini classes” for participants, and more!

The Bridge
Just like with The Trek, The Bridge is scheduled to have a lot of new “Scenic Overlooks”! In fact we’re working on the first new Bridge Scenic Overlook as we speak! (I’m not promising a release date just yet as we’ve just started experimenting with staging, overlays, etc. so that we can create a “template” for future videos!) When this is up and running, look for new Bridge content coming your way!

Next, we have some upcoming speaking engagements utilizing The Bridge. If you’re available:

Barry will be speaking at the upcoming Couple’s Retreat at Crescent Lake Bible Camp on February 11-13. Our topic for the weekend is “Staying In Tune”. If you would like to join us, please visit https://www.clbc.net/retreats to sign up!

Barry will also be the speaker at the Middle School “Young Crusaders” week at Crescent Lake Bible Camp on July 10-15. The topic is “Not Alone!” (Hopefully y’all see the need for this topic in today’s society!) If you would like to sign up your middle-schooler, feel free to visit https://www.clbc.net/youth-resident-camps

Last, but certainly not least, we are looking at using The Trek / The Bridge to work with Pastors who are struggling. This can be Pastors facing moral failure, dealing with issues in their own lives, those who are simply “burning out” on ministry, or even Pastors who just want someone to talk to. This project is just starting, but already we’ve had some great conversations with different leaders and we may begin leading these specialized programs in 2022!

Facilitators
Finally, to our Facilitators! (Yay!) We have the aforementioned Bridge Facilitator Guide coming out! (Barry’s finally over COVID, so hopefully he can get back to that!)

Also, we are planning on expanding our website to have a “Facilitators Only” section. This would include Facilitator-only Zoom conferences, additional resources and research areas, and much more! (I’d love to go into more detail, but we’re still working on the final design elements!)

In addition to all of this, we have a TON of other projects in the works! (I wish I could share all of the conversations from this past year with you, but some of them are really quite tentative!) As new outreaches and resources become available, we’ll be sure to let you know!

Until then, we sincerely do hope you enjoy your journey!
